Summary (Croatia)

The first twenty kilometres in the country, I started them with a beautiful night raid on the highway, not really legal. Then I spent two days in Rijeka to take the pulse of this culture, totally new for me.

Then I started to pedal along the coast and islands. The landscapes were beautiful and breathtaking, like the mighty wind that swept the country during the winter months but, in least, remotes the clouds. Fortunately, because the rain I took on the head were not half-measures.

Speaking about rain, it is on a day when the sky was giving all his water that I had a fabulous encounter on the road with a Scottish cyclotraveller. For the record, he was pedalling on an old Dutch woman byke with only one speed and with no more than ten kilograms of luggage. Adapting our speed to the one imposed by his dog, we travelled together for three days. We, then, met again, shortly before the Montenegrin border, in the Garden of Eden of an old 70 years old hippie that hosted us one week.

During my crossing of this country, I also had the chance to enjoy a friend's house located on the island of Hvar and visited the area. I also took time to plan my trip a little further.
